Valentine's Day Romantic Songs Gift Idea

Valentine’s day is almost here and I thought that I would write about a gift that I gave to my husband one year that he is still able to enjoy. I made him a CD with many of our favorite love songs. Great gift idea for one of the best Valentine’s day presents especially if you are on a budget. This will cost you the price of a blank CD and perhaps a few dollars if you do not already have the music and need to do some downloading off of itunes or another music downloading site. This year give the gift of music so that it can be enjoyed for many years.
To go along with the CD you could include concert tickets to one your Valentine's favorite music events that may be coming to a city near you. Flowers and Chocolates or a nice bottle of wine always go well with anything you may choose.
Below I have included a few of my favorite love songs from artists that I personally enjoy.
Top of my list would be Van Morrison “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You”
When I was married our wedding song was “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” originally recorded by the “King” Elvis Presley but we chose the version that Corey Hart sings.
“Red Roses For A Blue Lady” This song has been recorded and performed by many artists. My love for this song goes back to my childhood. My Dad loved to sing and he had a wonderful voice I must say. Whenever I hear this song it brings tears to my eyes as I miss him dearly. First released in 1948 written by Sid Tepper and Roy C Bennett. This song was number 4 on the billboard charts for 19 weeks in 1949. My favorite artist that performed this song would have to be Andy Williams although there are so many other greats that recorded this song as well.
“Feel Like Making Love” performed by George Benson one of my all time favorite jazz guitarists although he is not playing guitar in this video.

Great idea... I have been doing something similar but not for Valentines but for Birthdays and Christmas as well.
There are so many great songs out there you can choose a subject whether it be Love or Humour...
Love the song collections you have. I like Celine Dion's love songs, such as "Love you More".
Another song I like is a very old spanish song from Mexico, "Besume Mucho".
What a simple but wonderful momento. My kiddos make them for their friends all the time, but I had never thought to do it myself. Thanks for a great idea!

I think I love all the songs! Except - Red Roses for a Blue Lady - never heard that before! I liked the piano and he is a good singer!
That is a great idea and Dave is a huge fan of music....this is an awesome idea! Dave has given me CD's for gifts and I love that...
RH, Red Roses For a Blue Lady was a song my Dad would sing quite often. Andy Williams was very close to the Kennedy's and sang Battle Hymn of the Republic at Robert Kennedy's funeral. I remember watching the funeral on TV.
