I have a garlic press but not a grater. I think it's kinda cute. I have never heard of it though, think I'll get one.

Hi Susan...my room mate doesn't use garlic...she abuses it. Yet...always yummy. Thanks for helping me cross of one gift off that Christmas list! Voted Up, useful and interesting!

I love garlic. I would use this grater. Thank's for the info.

I use a lot of garlic but I have never used fresh garlic... I always go for the stuff that is either in the can that stays refrigerated or the stuff in the spice aisle... however, I am always up for a new kitchen gadget. Maybe I will have to change it up a little just to have an excuse to get this! :)

I think my finance needs this he is a garlicholic!

I use a lot of everything you mentioned! Orange and lemon zest, ginger, garlic - and this sounds awesome! I use a garlic press but unless I use salt I can't get a good paste ( which is great as a spread on a hot slice of baguette bread) and the press makes my fingers sticky:(. Ginger also is tough to dice small (it's got that hairy like stuff I find hard to cut). Ok - sorry! But I want one of those (you know how much I love cooking and I'm easily excitable)! Lol

REALfoodie, I use garlic all the time too, and when I saw this grater I just had to have it.

marellen, Yes this would make an excellent Christmas gift.

Cardisa, I have always used a garlic press but after getting this grater I think I will be using it more than the press.

ThoughtSandwiches, Thanks and I am sure your room mate will love this.

Ruby, It would make a great addition to anyone's kitchen.

barbergirl, Fresh garlic is so much better and I am sure once you start using fresh you will love it.

dreams, I am in search of a garlic festival close to where I live as I too am a garlicholic :)

RH, When I found this at the fair the other day I couldn't wait to get home and use it. The garlic comes out just like in the video. When you use with ginger, the smell is amazing :)

Facinating! This looks like a must in my kitchen. I love to cook and bake. Do they sell them in stores or do you need to order them online? Thanks for sharing!

Just Ask Susan 9 months ago

tipoague,

I found mine at a fair and just went to check to see if they are available in stores but could not find any. I am sure if you went to a garlic festival or upcoming large fair you may find one there. But Amazon does sell them for less than what I paid for mine.

RealHousewife 9 months ago

I'm telling you - I'm getting one. I may even sleep with it under my pillow:) lol.

RH, You won't be sorry, I love mine :).

Joe, I made mashed potatoes last night and added the grated garlic to them. They were so good! I use a lot of garlic myself and I am so glad that I found this grater.

Gordon Hamilton 9 months ago

Susan, I use/eat garlic every single day in life - literally. I have even been known to munch whole cloves of raw garlic, I am so addicted to it. (That went down so well when I worked in a busy office environment! :) ) I grate garlic quite a lot, using the old, traditional hand grater and have never heard of this tool. Sounds perfect for me - thanks!

Just Ask Susan 9 months ago

Gordon, Raw garlic cloves are a food staple are they not? I try not to eat them when I am going to be around a lot of people however. I find that this garlic grater is a bit easier on the fingers compared to the traditional hand grater.

My Mom bought this chopper thing for veggies - It's like a Guillotine for vegetables - but it chops em' into LOTS of little pieces.

WHACK!!!

~done~

I never get to use it though - it's just me and my big ol' kitchen knife.

Just Ask Susan 9 months ago

Todd, I tend to use a knife for chopping vegetables too.
