Snow Blower's Make Life Easier
56Snow snow snow everywhere I look all I see is snow.
Pilled here, pilled there, where to put it I look with despair.
Push it here, Push it there, oh no there’s nowhere else to push this snow.
Heavy snow, shoveling is so slow, how I wish it would just go.
Back is aching; back is breaking from all this white, cold, wet snow.
If this is you, you may want to invest in a snow blower or a snow thrower. They are a must for anyone that lives in snow country. There are many to choose from and depending on how much your pocketbook can handle at this time of year, you will never regret buying one. Depending on your preference these machines do come in electric power operated and in gas operated. With the electric you do have the cord to worry about. Will I need an extension cord, will I roll over the cord by mistake, and is the cord on the machine going to be long enough for what I need. But with the electric it will most likely be easier to maneuver, as you do not have a heavy gas tank on the machine so pushing will be a breeze.
Toro
Toro makes many machines to make snow throwing, snow shoveling and snow blowing easier. The Toro 38381 18” 15 Amp Electric 1800 Power Curve Snow Thrower will throw snow up to 30 feet, has an 18” clearing width, is lightweight and easy to maneuver.
For people that have a small driveway, or just need something do clean off their walkways, decks or steps, Toro has an electric power shovel. This snow thrower can throw 300 pounds of snow per minute. It has a clearing width of 12 inches and only weighs 13 pounds. Built for any height as it has a telescopic handle. For a larger area you may want to look at the Toro Power Clear. This machine will do 21” width and is a gas-powered machine with an electric start.
Poulan Pro
This next machine is built like a tank and is great if you have heavy snow. The Poulan Pro has 24” coverage and is made for light to moderate snowfall. Designed for colder climates, and can be started either electrically or with a pull start. Equipped with 13” deep tread tires for easy use on snowy terrain.
Murray
Murray has numerous snow throwers and they use the Briggs and Stratton engine. No need to mix gas and oil together with this engine. The Murray 1695537 and the 1695538 are great for paved driveways walkways and sidewalks. Handle will easily fold down for easy storage when not in use.

A now blower is necessary equipment in snow belt. A good writeup on a such a different topic.
Typically in Ontario we get dumped on. But 2 years ago we bought a snow blower, and haven't had enough where we live to use it since! Crazy
These snow-blowing manufacts.. should give you a little something for this useful Hub.. Good morning
That little electric snow blower seems right for me! While I don't live in snow country, I do see enough snow in the winter. I have a relatively small area to shovel, but since an accident that injured me a few years ago, I have a hard time with shovelling (something I used to love..imagine that!) and my husband is often busy with work to do it. Thanks for sharing! I'll be looking into that Toro. :)
Without a doubt. Why shovel if you can blow it all away. Not to mention break your back.
i loved the electric blower !! takes less space in the garage !! and it is good for two car drive way !!
thanks for this info !! sometime on Menards you can get it cheaper than online !
It does depend on ones needs.I have found that I cannot start a manual start snowblower, due to not having the strength. For me a gas machine with electric starter and self propelled works best.

My son lives up north in the snow belt and I know a snow blower is absolutely essential. Great selection.
