They were first introduced to me by my mother-in-law when she bought my husband a few t-shirts for his birthday one year and every since I and other family members have been big fans of this clothing line. At one time you could find Big Dogs clothing stores all over the U.S.A. A few years ago while in Florida, on vacation, I had gone to shop at Big Dogs when much to my surprise I found the stores had closed down leaving me heartbroken. A month after returning home I decided to investigate and happily found in October of 2010, that you can order the same great products through their online website.
Big Dogs in Santa Barbara, California, has been in business since the late 1980’s making high quality casual clothing for all ages that is reasonably priced. Fun comfortable apparel that is enjoyable to wear when you are walking your dog, on holidays or just kicking around.

I have to laugh...when I saw the title of this hub, I thought it was going to be about big dogs...the animals. As a big dog owner I was looking forward to someone extolling the virtues of having a large dog. But as it turns out, I enjoyed this hub all the same and will be bookmarking Big Dogs.
RH I have one without attitude that says I love my Big Dogs and My Big Dogs Love Me. But Al just wears these shirts all the time....The guys on the job sites get such a kick out of them.

I thought this was a hub about pets but I also remember the Big Dog logo....the store here also closed and I don't see to many people wearing their T-shirts anymore. Thanks for sharing this info because like you, their shirts are good quality and I love their sayings.

Ok, this gave me a good laugh. I was expecting to read about big dogs (like a St. Barnard or something along those lines.) Instead it is a hub about clothes, which made me think of clothes for your big pet dog. It is obvious I need to put on some glasses to read better, or I need another dose of java. Either way, it was a great hub. I will have to look into this further since my brother and dad love stuff like this. Thanks for sharing!

tipoague Now there's a good idea. I have never seen clothing for the larger breed dogs. I wonder if anyone makes those. Will have to look for some as I am tired of my newfoundland dogs borrowing my clothes all the time :)
I have never heard of this clothing line. I hardly ever buy any clothing new so mI'll keep and eye out for them second hand,
I so want the shirt "Stop staring at my puppies" LOL I have a puppy and I believe it is a big dog item. A guy bought it for me while I was at Fort Meade MD. I can't remember if I still have it, it was super cute though because you squeeze the stomach and it barks at you. Loved that thing!

barbergirl They used to sell all kinds of stuff in their stores. My dogs have Big Dog toys that they play with all the time. But now that they are only online they for some reason have discontinued the toys :(
Bummer - in that case - I hope I can find my Big Dogg since it seems to have turned into a collector item... lol... I might have to invest in the shirt still.. lol

A girl after my own heart! I love BigDog!! I sleep in 'em. My boys wear their boxers . . . fun slogans and always comfortable. They have great specials on their website!! and lots of BIG sizes too.

How funny, I was ready to tell you "yep Susan I like big dogs too" but now that you mention it, my son has one of the BigDog shirts that he got as a gift and he loves it! I had to save the King Size store to my favs. It is so hard to find XLT shirt's here - thanks! You know, most of the t-shirt apparel I buy are graphic t's or shirts with funny comments on them. Everyone in my family has attitude:) Syd wore her, "I dress myself" shirt to school yesterday, ha! She always says the kids love her shirts and she is such a tom boy!
